Mangrove Ecology Education Center

A small but charming ecology education center. Its indoor spaces include static exhibits and a multimedia audio-visual room, using graphics, posters, and lightboxes to introduce the growth of the mangrove's star species, Kandelia obovata, as well as the fiddler crabs, mudskippers, and waterbirds that inhabit the mangroves. Through observation windows with excellent views, visitors can take in the sweeping mangrove landscape, the Tamsui River estuary, the scenery of Guanyinshan, and the striking red Guandu Bridge. Since the center sits right beside the Tamsui Mangrove Nature Reserve, the mangrove ecosystem can be observed up close. Reservations can be arranged in advance if needed.
