Kushida Shrine

Kushida Shrine (Japanese: 櫛田神社, Kushida Jinja) is a Shinto shrine in Hakata Ward, Fukuoka, Japan. Its official name is Hakata Sōchinju Kushida Shrine (博多総鎮守櫛田神社). With a long history, it has since ancient times been venerated by locals as the tutelary shrine and general guardian of Hakata, and from July 1 to 15 it holds a festival that was inscribed on UNESCO's list of Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016.
