Yuelai Guesthouse (悅徠舘)

The Prelude: Silver hair is a medal earned over a lifetime. When retirement frees you from paperwork, family and friends become your most precious treasures. Slowing down and spending more time with loved ones is how Yuelai Guesthouse began. Beginnings are always hard, and finding the right place brought as many considerations and obstacles as starting a business once did. The ideal location had to offer city convenience and open countryside. It also needed fast, frequent transport links so family and friends could visit easily. Most importantly, it had to keep the tranquility of "living among people, yet free from the noise of carriages and horses." After searching across northern Taiwan through many setbacks, we found it in
