Xingchen Castle B&B (星晨堡民宿)

Located 240 m down a small lane on the left at km 57.9 of the Alishan Highway, at an elevation of 1,300 m. It is a great spot for watching the sunrise, with little light pollution for beautiful starry night skies and ever-changing clouds and mist. Guests can enjoy different views here, including mountain mist and seas of clouds. The building faces south and offers different scenery from sunrise to sunset and through the night. It is built in a castle style with understated colors, and every room has its own unique style. A third-floor terrace gives guests an ideal height for taking in the views. Built on the idea of a castle that guards the family home, it keeps the original timber (in the lobby) from the old sanheyuan courtyard house and the early pebble-wash columns from the corridor (a future pavilion).
