Lao Mabao Military Village B&B (老媽寶眷村民宿)

Kaohsiung is Taiwan's largest military settlement. It is home to the military village cultures of all three armed forces: the Army in Fengshan, the Navy in Zuoying and the Air Force in Gangshan. No other city or county has this unique cultural landscape. Preserving and revitalizing the villages highlights their character and their cultural and historical value, and shows a different side of Kaohsiung. The remaining buildings carry the passage of time. Step through the gate past the shade of the trees onto the earthen floor of the village house. You will see black tiles on low single-story houses, quiet corridors indoors and a slightly overgrown courtyard.
