Ren Yu Shan Inn

For more than two hundred years, this mountain village has developed a culture all its own, shaped by its longan forests and the life centered on its longan-drying kiln houses. Yingshan Inn takes this as its guiding spirit and hopes to share Taiwan's distinctive way of life with travelers. Read together, the Chinese characters in the room names form nine phrases tied to longan culture: "Welcoming the Mountain, Entering the Forest, Lighting the Kiln, Accompanying the Clouds, Tending the Smoke, Following the Wind, Resting Under the Moon, Yizhi, and Returning to Simplicity." The view from each bed echoes what was once seen from the sleeping beds of the century-old kiln houses. The inn welcomes the mountain, sharing the frame with a century-old mountain village.
