Zhu Gao Yi Lang B&B (筑高亦朗民宿)

In downtown Zhushan, known as the first town of the foothills, a century-old house sits hidden in a quiet lane right next to Lianxing Temple (a Grade 3 historic Mazu temple), Laifa Blacksmith Shop and a traditional market. So plain and unassuming that even the sharpest eye might overlook it, it escaped the attention of shrewd developers. Now, given new life, it is emerging from its worn-out shell. Nearby attractions such as the Sky Ladder, Bagua Tea Plantation, Taiji Gorge, Xitou, Zinan Temple and Jiji Township are within 30 minutes, while Sun Moon Lake, Taomi Community in Yuchi, Chung Tai Chan Monastery, downtown Taichung, Lukang, Xiluo Old Street and Gukeng can be reached in about an hour.
