Taisugar Hualien Hotel (台糖花蓮旅館)

Located at the Hualien Tourism Sugar Factory in Guangfu Township, Hualien County, this was one of the sugar mills run by the private Ensuiko Sugar Refining Company (鹽水港株式會社) during the Japanese colonial era. Its staff quarters were still built to the "Taiwan Government-General Official Residence Building Standards" issued in the 11th year of Taishō. The Japanese-style wooden quarters in the park today were built in 1936 and originally housed sugar factory employees. The park still has 27 buildings with 73 units, plus 5 other wooden buildings, including single-staff dormitories (now renovated into creative workshops), business-travel quarters, a staff clinic and offices.
