Mengzong Mountain Villa Hotel (孟宗山莊大飯店)

Take National Freeway 3 and exit at the Zhushan Interchange (243 km). Turn right toward Lugu and Xitou on County Road 151 and cross Chuxiang Bridge. The road climbs gradually through Lugu Township, a tea-growing area. Hundreds of tea shops line the way, and you can stop in to taste tea and hear stories about it. At the 13 km mark is Neihu Elementary School, whose rare wooden school buildings are worth a visit. By this point you'll feel the natural coolness that comes from the vast forest. Continue to the 18 km mark along the Moso Bamboo Forest Road, and you'll reach Xitou, whose beauty lies in its mist and haze and its cool, pleasant climate. At the entrance of Xitou Nature Education Area is Moso Avenue, lined with a Poetry Corridor.
