Mubenshu B&B (木本樹民宿)

Set on the banks of the Yanshui River, where fish ponds once lay behind the house, and a walking trail winds through wild grass along the riverside embankment. After decades of passing dawns and dusks, and eight months of surveying, tidying and renovation, the old family home has taken on a modern look while keeping its memories, including the stair handrail that has stood for forty years and the courtyard where we played as children. The river view is clearer now, sunrises and sunsets have taken on new meaning, and new journeys begin here.
