Shuntian Inn (順天旅店)

Located at No. 60, Ou Cuo Village, Kinmen, Shuntian Inn occupies a two-courtyard building with swallowtail ridges. Construction began during the Guangxu reign of the Qing dynasty but was not completed until 1923. More than a century of wind and rain has not hidden its former splendor. The Kinmen National Park Headquarters finished restoring the building at the end of 2011 and put it out to public tender as a distinctive guesthouse. The owner, Ouyang Ziyong, grew up with parents who ran the Shuntian Store. He named the guesthouse Shuntian Inn to honor his roots and to carry on his parents' example of attending to guests' wishes and serving them every day.
