Ten years ago, Qiao Ma, the owner of Baiyang Mountain Villa, returned to Taiwan from the United States with her guide dog Polo. During that time she experienced firsthand the rejection and unfair treatment that come with trying to check into a hotel with a pet. Out of empathy as a dog lover, she decided to create a holiday paradise just for pets and their owners, and Baiyang Mountain Villa became Taiwan's first pet-friendly B&B.
