Wilderness B&B (曠野民宿)

Wilderness B&B was originally a fruit-farming household. To give the family a place to rest and to move away from an environment that required frequent pesticide spraying, Papa Kuo used his existing stone-masonry and gardening skills to transform the orchard into a pine garden and rebuild the ancestral home into a B&B. Beyond providing a retreat for the family, he also shares the fruits of his labor with others. About a 10-minute drive from downtown Meishan, it boasts a one-of-a-kind wilderness pine garden. The entire grounds are made up of nearly a hundred uniquely shaped Japanese white pines, black pines, osmanthus trees and cherry trees of all sizes, built by host Papa Kuo together with his whole family, taking 13 years to reach its current scale.
