Zhilan Yaju B&B (智嵐雅居)

Hualien Zhilan Yaju B&B is located north of downtown Yuli, at the starting point of the Yuchang Highway. Yet turning this setting of beautiful mountains and waters into a B&B was never the owners' original intention. Devout Buddhists Mr. Hsu Kun-liang and his wife Ms. Li Ping-mei share the serenity and elegance of this pure land with friends in a relaxed, go-with-the-flow spirit. The hostess, a graduate of the National Taiwan Academy of Arts, is a woman of artistic talent who showcased her gifts in the Taipei workplace when young. After a series of hardships, her study of Buddhist teachings gave her a different interpretation of and attitude toward life. The B&B's name was given by her master, Master Sheng Che.
