Xiangshui Inn (響水客棧)

"Huangku Xiangquan": Kaikuang Village in Gongguan Township, Miaoli, discovered oil as early as the Xianfeng era of the Qing Dynasty and is Taiwan's oldest oil-producing area. It was once busier than today's Jiufen, but as the industry declined and people moved away, the little village shed its glamour and regained its simplicity... Like a "time capsule" frozen for fifty years, the village waited until Lo Cheng-chung, a spatial designer who had left home many years earlier, returned. Unwilling to let the century-old house crumble amid the weeds, he came back to his hometown to breathe new life into the old house, and invites everyone to come cool off under the hundred-year-old longan tree and enjoy the tranquil time only the countryside can offer!
