Guguan Hot Spring Hotel
After Taiwan's retrocession in 1945, the area—set in a valley ringed by towering green peaks, with the Dajia River cutting westward to the sea—was renamed "Guguan" for its gateway-like terrain, evoking a strategic mountain pass. In 1984 it was expanded and named the Guguan Grand Hotel, and after the 921 earthquake it was renovated and relaunched as the Guguan Hot Spring Hotel. Surrounded by mountains, babbling streams, and lush greenery at an elevation of 800 meters, it offers a tranquil setting and fresh air, along with some of Taiwan's finest natural hot spring water—a scenic gem unique to central Taiwan. The hotel features elegant hot spring suites.
