Aimianzi B&B (愛面子民宿)

The Face Painting Culture Center was originally a woodcarving studio with over a decade of history. In 1999 it transformed into a farm centered on teaching woodcarving. The owners, Lin Wen-yuan and Peng Fei-yu, have a deep love for the art of Chinese opera face painting and devoted many years to studying and painting it. They turned the carving techniques once required of woodcarving beginners into simple, fun creative activities suited to the general public and families — from face-mask painting and acacia "blue shirt" ornament painting to custom personalized clay figurines, portraits in various media, and wooden plaques — to spark greater interest in the diverse art of woodcarving.
