Hele Hotel
In 1985, during Taiwan's dazzling era of economic growth, the Lincoln Mansion—then Tainan's tallest building—was completed in the China Town shopping district. That same year, Ming Men Hotel, the predecessor of Hele Hotel, grandly opened, welcoming visitors to the ancient capital with southern Taiwan's vitality and warmth. Thirty-five years on, China Town, once flourishing and later faded, is gone; with the old complex demolished, the long-lost canal scenery has returned to the city. The former Chinese-style commercial building has been transformed into the world-class waterfront Heart of Tainan (The Spring) plaza. Through all the rise and fall and changing times, what remains unchanged is Tainan's deep cultural heritage and the ever-optimistic, hospitable spirit of its people. For 35 years, we have been here—and from now on, we continue.
