In Chishang Township, Taitung County, a small path runs between the fields, where the azure sky mirrors waves of fresh green—some say it looks like paradise. That paradise drew coffee and a handsome star, and people jokingly renamed the road "Takeshi Kaneshiro Boulevard," or "Mr. Brown Avenue"—either is fine by us. At the 327K mark of Provincial Highway 9 in the East Rift Valley, travelers drawn by word of this paradise pass a brightly colored, fairy-tale-like cottage as they enter the embrace of the Coastal Mountain Range and the Central Mountain Range—that is us, Huatian Village B&B. At Huatian Village, you are like the master of a European manor: with no high-rises to block the view, you can lean back in a lounge chair and soak in the beautiful mountain scenery.
