HOK House
HOK House was formerly The Crane Palace Hotel. In the 1960s, it was one of the few hotels in Taiwan with modern facilities. The owners later emigrated to the United States, and it closed in 1996, becoming a hot pot restaurant. In 2016, by chance, this beautiful building was rediscovered. Following its character, the interior was renovated and the word for 'residence' was added to the original 'Crane Palace' name. The hope is for it to serve as a time machine—letting travelers settle in comfortably for a while and gently recall the somewhat romantic, wildly ambitious, and vibrantly spirited era of Dagangpu (Formosa).
