Tan Gu Shuo Jin Historic House B&B
Qianshuitou, also known as "Jinshui," takes its name from its location close to the water, with "tou" at the end of the word serving as a positional suffix. The saying "rich as Shuitou, no houses like Shuitou's" speaks to how precious the settlement's architecture is. The Huang Qi historic house was built around 1700 (during the Qianlong era of the Qing dynasty). It is a grand three-hall mansion with an elegant appearance, built with stone wall foundations, brick walls, wooden roof frames and beams, a southern Fujian-style tiled roof, wooden doors and windows, and vertical-slat stone windows. The house feels bright and complete; rooms come with private bathrooms, giving guests a full and private space of their own. There are also a kitchen, front and rear courtyards, and connecting corridors.
