Yuelai B&B (悅來民宿)

The grounds span roughly 3,300 square meters (1,000 ping), at the geographic center of Taitung's mountain and coastal routes (the East Rift Valley and the coastline). It is about 10 minutes' drive from Taitung Railway Station (actually road-tested), 600 meters from the new Provincial Highway 9, and about 15 minutes' drive to the city center, where you can sample Taitung's most popular food. Surrounded by sugar-apple orchards, the B&B enjoys a quiet, tranquil setting — a B&B on the urban fringe with everyday conveniences, easy parking, and a large green activity space. From the grounds you can gaze at the Central Mountain Range ahead, with Taitung City and the Pacific Ocean in the distance to the left. At night, amid chirping insects, birdsong, and croaking frogs, you can admire a sky full of stars — or even chat about basic astronomy with the host, Papa Dong.
