Ita Hotel – Taitung County Indigenous Cultural Center
The hall takes indigenous culture as its theme, showcasing the life and aesthetics of eastern Taiwan's indigenous peoples through its exhibition spaces and travel activities. It also ties in with the Austronesian cultural events held here each year, highlighting the connection between Taiwan and the Austronesian peoples. Straddling the boundary of the subtropical and tropical zones, Taiwan has a way of life quite unlike other countries along the Tropic of Cancer—especially on its Pacific-facing east coast, where varied terrain creates stunning, colorful scenery: the sunrise red of Taimali, the sunset orange of the East Coast, the coral purple of Lanyu, and the deep blue of the Pacific, presenting nature and culture in their original hues, along with warm and passionate indigenous hosts.
