Royal Hotel (皇家大飯店)

Founded in April 1964, the Royal Hotel has a long history and strong reputation, holding landmark status in Taiwan's early hotel industry; its guests were mainly Japanese tour groups, provincial government officials, and wealthy merchants from central and southern Taiwan. As transportation boomed in 1978 and Taoyuan CKS International Airport opened the following year, travelers from around the world poured into Taiwan, bringing the hotel's occupancy and business to a peak. Over the following two decades, upholding its 'service first' philosophy, it remained a favorite choice for domestic and international business and leisure travelers. This year, marking the Republic of China's centennial, the Royal Hotel presents itself with a brand-new look.
