Shangheyuan Guesthouse

Newly completed in July 2012, Shangheyuan Guesthouse in Kinmen sits in a tree-lined cluster of European-style buildings in quiet, bright surroundings. It is close to the Taihu Lake Scenic Area, Rongyuan Garden, Weilu, Zhongzheng Park, the August 23 Artillery Battle Museum, Father Druetto Memorial Park, the Chen Jinglan Western-style House, the Yu Ta-wei Memorial Hall, the Guest House, and Haiyin Temple, with views of Mount Taiwu in the distance. Taihu Lake spans a broad area of about 36 hectares, with three islets—Tongxin, Guangfu, and Huaxia—each topped with a pavilion. From the guesthouse you can take in the lake and mountain scenery at leisure amid the beautiful surroundings. "Shangheyuan" means "a fine garden," and the warm, friendly hosts welcome guests with the same care they give their own home.
