Alishan Hotel (Historic Building)
Alishan, located in Chiayi County, is a natural scenic area on a spur of Yushan, the highest peak in Southeast Asia. The Alishan Forest Railway, with over ninety years of history, is one of only three remaining alpine railways in the world. It passes through tropical, subtropical, temperate, and frigid zones, each with strikingly different scenery — riding the train feels like touring a natural history museum. The three spiral loops and the Z-shaped switchback climb at the first junction are especially unforgettable. Alishan has long been famous for its five wonders: the mountain railway, forests, sea of clouds, sunrise, and evening glow. The hotel now features newly built deluxe suites — a top-class hotel at Taiwan's highest scenic spot, offering guests a distinctive way to vacation. The suites are designed with a tranquil, soft ambiance.
