Makapahay Creative B&B (馬卡巴嗨文創)

Makapahay Creative (Taitung Makapahay Creative B&B) takes its name from the Amis language, meaning very good, beautiful, and wonderful. We are located in the Malan tribal community in central Taitung City, a traditional Amis settlement. The building's exterior features cement relief painting techniques unique to the Rukai and Paiwan peoples, expressing the beauty of traditional totems and culture. The installation art in the lobby, arcade, and backyard is set against an Amis cultural backdrop: a beautiful mosaic of the Amis warrior dance made from stones of Taiwan and Hualien. Taking nine months to complete, it is a meticulous and heartfelt work that showcases authentic indigenous beauty.
