Zhaoxilu Inn B&B (朝昔廬客棧民宿)
The innkeeper, captivated by the way earlier generations used genuine materials and by the devotion and craftsmanship master artisans poured into handmade objects — carved one stroke of the knife and axe at a time — founded Zhaoxilu on July 12, 2007. Its endless collection of antiques and the stories told through old temple and house relics embody the inn's spirit. Adding a radical to the characters 'Zhaoxi' forms the words for 'temple house,' as the inn's distinctive interior and exterior spaces are furnished with objects salvaged from old temples and historic houses, giving these precious cultural treasures new life through thoughtful arrangement and weaving them into daily living. Its cuisine likewise carries on the resilient, sea-wind spirit of the Penghu people.
