2026 Sun Moon Lake International Swimming Carnival

The annual Sun Moon Lake swim is the lake's most historic and largest event. Since 1983, swimmers from Taiwan and around the world have gathered at Chaowu Pier around the Mid-Autumn Festival for this roughly 3,000-meter crossing, which was officially inducted into the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 2002. Drawing tens of thousands of swimming enthusiasts each year, this mass-swim carnival celebrates the feat of crossing Sun Moon Lake together.
