2026 Sun Moon Lake Starlight Firefly Festival

The 2026 Sun Moon Lake Starlight Firefly Festival runs from April to May, combining firefly watching with local ecology and cultural experiences to showcase nature's nighttime spectacle. Highlights include eco-tourism (firefly watching, forest outings), mountain and trail education (hiking, safety), SUP water activities, and black tea DIY workshops. In partnership with local hotels, guesthouses, and restaurants, exclusive deals encourage visitors to stay longer and enjoy in-depth travel around Sun Moon Lake. The event emphasizes sustainability, promoting green tourism, reducing single-use tableware, and avoiding disruption to local residents.
