2026 Sun Moon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival

As spring approaches, cherry blossoms begin to bloom. The annual Sun Moon Lake Cherry Blossom Festival welcomes visitors with hillsides of romantic pink blossoms—an estimated 5,000-plus cherry trees in full bloom across the area. Viewing spots include Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, the Sun Moon Lake Ropeway station, National Chi Nan University, Ita Thao Lakeside Trail, Ci'en Pagoda Trail, Jinlong Mountain Trail, Stone Buddha Park, Xiangcha Lane and Youshui Lane in Yuchi Township, and Guangfu Lane in Xinyi Township. The NCNU Cherry Blossom Festival runs January 15 to February 22 in the cherry grove beside the university's College of Management.
