2026 Liyu Lake Firefly Season – Fun Firefly Watching

Held since 2003, the Liyu Lake Firefly Season has run for over a decade and has become one of the most popular activities for visitors to Hualien and Taitung in April and May. The event is organized by the administration itself, with annual volunteer training; ecological guided tours on fireflies are led by the East Rift Valley volunteer team.
