2026 Thanks for Your Love: Crab Guardian Heroes

On Green Island, June to October is the breeding season of the land crab Metasesarma aubryi—and also the peak tourist season. The East Coast National Scenic Area Administration of the Tourism Administration, MOTC, urges visitors and local residents to slow down when driving on the island and yield to mother crabs to prevent roadkill. Everyone is also invited to become a crab guardian: use your own hands to escort mother land crabs safely across the road and leave your love on Green Island.
