Emei Lakeside Tea Gathering

The Emei Lakeside Tea Gathering takes place on the lakeside platform beside the Ximaopu Suspension Bridge in Emei Township, Hsinchu County, inviting guests to savor Oriental Beauty tea paired with tea-infused chocolate, accompanied by the melodies of erhu and guzheng. A farmers' market on site sells local specialties such as Oriental Beauty tea drinks, tangerine shokupan and Hakka vegetable buns. The event carries forward Tourism Administration Director-General Chen Yu-hsiu's vision of a tourism ecosystem that "moves travelers, benefits locals and sustains the industry," joining local tea farmers, tea masters and performers to create an immersive cultural feast combining tea ceremony, farmers' market and live music, while boosting use of the lakeside platform.
