2026 Lukang Dragon Boat Festival Celebration Series

Originating from the Lukang folk arts festival of 1978, the event centers on promoting Lukang's historic sites, culture, craftsmanship, and local cuisine. Highlights include the "Welcoming the Dragon King" ceremony, an invitational race for central Taiwan county and city leaders, an international dragon boat championship, traditional children's games and crafts, and the Luban Feast, fostering inter-city exchange and international interaction while showcasing Lukang's rich cultural character. To encourage overnight stays, the festival also features a light art show that projects modern lighting technology onto the historic Lukang Assembly Hall, creating a dialogue between past and present through light and shadow.
