2026 Taiwan Lantern Festival

Carrying lanterns at the Lantern Festival was originally a traditional folk custom, but by blending local character with new technology, the Taiwan Lantern Festival has grown into an international-scale tourism spectacle. Beyond the breathtaking main lantern displays, spirited performances by folk troupes from Taiwan and abroad draw continual praise from international guests and visitors. In 2007, a producer from the American Discovery Channel visited the festival and named it one of the world's best festival celebrations.
