2026 Yuejin Lantern Festival

Among Taiwan's many lantern festivals, the Yuejin Lantern Festival is the only one to have won Germany's Red Dot Design Award, earning a reputation as Taiwan's most artistic and refined lantern festival. It is staged at Yuejin Harbor in Yanshui, Tainan—famed in the saying "first Tainan, second Lukang, third Bangka, fourth Yuejin." Set against the restored harbor landscape, the festival combines rich local culture with innovative art, inviting Taiwanese and international artist teams to create light installations that play off the lake and waterfront scenery, producing a stunning and distinctive lantern festival experience while serving as a platform for emerging artists.
