2026 Keelung Mid-Summer Ghost Festival

Originating in 1855, the Keelung Mid-Summer Ghost Festival is Taiwan's largest Ghost Festival celebration. It is not only one of Taiwan's oldest folk festivals but also the first festival designated as a national cultural asset in the "Important Folklore" category, running for a full month. Developed from local historical events, the festival is hosted in rotation by the region's clan associations, with activities spanning religious ceremonies, heritage workshops, and related events.
