2026 Kaohsiung Zuoying Wannian Folklore Festival

Held annually in mid-October at Lotus Pond in Zuoying since 2001, the Wannian Folklore Festival draws on Zuoying's unique natural scenery (Lotus Pond and the many temples around it) and distinctive local customs such as the fortress bombardment game and the fire lion procession. With its strong local character, the festival attracts large crowds each year and has become one of Kaohsiung's major folk culture tourism events.
