Re: Battle City

This exhibition is part of Taipower's third-phase public art project in Kaohsiung. "Re" means to restart or return again. Here it marks the trajectory of artist Chang Li-jen, who showed the complete Battle City series at MoNTUE (Museum of National Taipei University of Education) in 2024 and, after the works were acquired by Taiwan Power Company, revisited his own creation on that foundation to further refine, expand and advance it. Through animated film, comics, storyboard drafts, set models, characters and shooting props, the exhibition focuses on the "worldview" the artist built in Battle City, forming multiple parallels with the real world between looking back and renewal.
