2025 Taichung Christmas Carnival

The 2025 Taichung Christmas Carnival runs from December 12 to January 1. Themed around Sumikko Gurashi this year, it is Taiwan's most heartwarming city Christmas celebration. The main installation is an 18-meter-tall Christmas tree in front of the old Taichung Railway Station, inspired by a mille crêpe cake. The beloved Sumikko Gurashi characters appear as giant inflatables surrounding the main tree, spreading holiday cheer. The event extends along the Liuchuan and Lyuchuan riverside corridors with a variety of themed light zones full of photo-worthy surprises. There is also a Christmas market at the old station plaza, with activities every Friday.
