2026 New Taipei City Xuantian Shangdi Cultural Festival

Xuantian Shangdi is an important religious deity in Taiwan. Each year, around the anniversary of Xuantian Shangdi's ascension to heaven (the 9th day of the 9th lunar month), around a hundred temples in New Taipei City dedicated to Xuantian Shangdi jointly hold the Xuantian Shangdi Cultural Festival, with peaceful pilgrimage processions through the city's districts. It is one of New Taipei City's major religious and cultural festivals.
