2026 Taiwan Ceramics Biennale

Curated by Japanese curator Tomohiro Onaga (大長智廣), this exhibition takes 'When People Meet the Earth' as its theme. Starting from contemporary ceramics, it reflects on how nature, life, faith, cities, and civilization intersect through the flow of time, opening up a fresh perspective on human existence and our relationship with the environment. Through four subthemes — 'Earth', 'Cycle', 'Spirit Realm', and 'Artificial' — it depicts how humans live, create, believe, and sustain civilization on the land, using ceramics as a medium for a deep and ongoing dialogue between people and their environment.
