2026 Makotaay Art Festival | What Is the Ocean Thinking?

Themed around a grandfather's question, "What is the ocean thinking?", the 2026 Makotaay Art Festival opens at the Makotaay Eco Art Village in Fengbin Township, Hualien. The festival brings together Austronesian indigenous culture, large-scale land art, the Sota' market and a seaside music concert, inviting everyone to the East Coast to immerse all five senses in the Amis people's ocean philosophy of life and share an art feast by the Pacific.
