2026 Shoudong Harvest Opera Festival

Shoudong opera, a well-known traditional theater custom also called "peace opera," is performed after the autumn harvest to thank the gods for their blessings of favorable weather and abundant crops. Besides rich sacrificial offerings, renowned opera troupes are invited to perform before the deities as an expression of gratitude.
