Jim Thompson House
The Jim Thompson House is a museum on Soi 2 Kasemsan, off Rama I Road in Pathum Wan District, Bangkok, Thailand. It is a complex of traditional Thai houses where James Thompson, an American businessman residing in Thailand, kept the antiques and artworks he collected from around the region during the 1950s and 1960s. Besides running a silk business, he was a collector of Southeast Asian art, gathering Buddhist artworks and frequently traveling to neighboring Burma, Cambodia, and Laos to shop.
